If you really want to see plates better at night, maybe think about getting a 4K camera, but really, it's all about how good the night vision is. 3. In the daytime, it works just like any other dash cam. They all do pretty well when it's light out, so nothing special to say here. 4. The screen is 10 inches and fits right over your regular mirror. If your car mirror was in the way, don't worry because you can slide the camera out a bit. It's better than having your old mirror sticking out weirdly. 5. The whole mirror turns into the screen, so you see a lot of detail. If you're used to a dash cam with a smaller screen and still being able to use your mirror, this might be a change. But if you want to just use the mirror, you can turn the screen off easily with a button—no need to fiddle around. 6. This individual made a series of erratic maneuvers, including incorrect signal use and nearly hitting a pedestrian in a parking lot, before recklessly handling a child upon exiting the vehicle. We contacted State Patrol upon witnessing these actions. Authorities arrived promptly, addressing multiple offenses including suspended license, reckless driving, child endangerment, and DUI. They appreciated our offer to provide video evidence. Highly recommend this camera for its role in resolving disputes and documenting traffic incidents.
